You will select your adoptive families from families pre-approved by Act of Love. Our adoptive families come from a variety of backgrounds, geographic areas, and religious preferences. You can be assured that the families are carefully interviewed and screened prior to approval. This approval includes background criminal and child abuse checks, home studies, references and financial and medical inquiries. Our families prepare for adoption by attending classes on child rearing to learn more about bathing, feeding, general child care, CPR, adoption issues, and other topics. After placement, Act of Love ensures that adoptive families remain in close contact with a licensed adoption professional and comply with post-placement requirements.
